Wi-Fi at the Airport

Faro Airport offers free and unlimited Wi-Fi throughout the terminal building which you can access on your laptop, phone or tablet. Stay connected to your internet world, check emails and social media and browse the web while you wait for your flight.

There is also a "Living Spot" in the departures lounge where you can connect to the internet, charge mobile devices and check live flight information on the monitors.

Up until 2015, you could get thirty minutes free Wi-Fi at Portuguese airports. It was necessary to take out a paid subscription for a longer time. Then, realising that internet access was a high priority for the majority of their customers, the airport operator, Vinci, upgraded to an unlimited free service.

The free Wi-Fi service operates under a fair use policy so the download speed is limited and is supported by advertising which is relevant to air passengers. You won’t be able to stream movies, but the speed is fast enough for normal browsing.

How to Connect to the Free Wi-Fi

Connecting to the free Wi-Fi service is easy and involves a simple registration process. Ensure that your device is Wi-Fi enabled and follow these steps:

  1. Search for the network "VINCI airports Wi-Fi" and select it.
  2. Open your browser and a welcome page should appear.
  3. Enter a valid email address and select your country.
  4. Tick the box agreeing to the terms and conditions and then start browsing.

Living Spot

Located in the departures lounge, the "Living Spot" is an internet hotspot enabling you to work or browse the internet. There are charging points for your laptop, phone or tablet. Live monitors keep you in touch with up to date airport and flight information.

VIP Lounge

For those who have access to the VIP lounge, there is a separate free Wi-Fi service exclusive to users of the lounge and computer terminals. For details of the VIP lounge click here.
